Research in the Caribbean
Returning to the theme of Atlantis or a lost civilization in the Atlantic and borders there for thousands of years. Some researchers believe that we know some references to this ancient civilization in the world through the oral traditions of indigenous peoples.
Thus, there could be significant traces of the Atlantean culture in the ruined cities of the Maya, an amazing civilization that appeared out of nowhere to quickly produce advances in science, mathematics, astronomy, natural sciences and engineering feats that defy modern man. Many believe that the Mayans are direct descendants of the Atlantean civilization, by their cultural diversity, their racial types and architectural ensembles that distinguish them from other peoples.

William Michael Donato is an American archaeologist who holds an MA in Anthropology and is a regular contributor to magazines talking about the American antiquity and the fall of Atlantis and is an advocate of the theory that the location of Bimini's Atlantis . He was the founder of Atlantis Organization (TAO) whose work is now continued by Apex Institute, which was established in 2001 to investigate places like the Bahamas and other places in the world that could provide evidence on the existence of ancient advanced civilizations. Master's thesis was titled Donato "a review of the theory of Atlantis." Donato was a member of the research team who claim to have found definitive evidence of two ancient ports submerged off Bimini in 2005.
William Michael Donato was a presenter on the SciFi channel a special program called "Quest for Atlantis: Startling New Secrets" and it is one of a growing number of archaeologists, anthropologists and other scientists who have broken with the "mainstream" academics regarding the true nature of megalithic structures in the Caribbean.
Bill Donato has been a speaker and often quoted expert on Bimini Road and Atlantis theories for over thirty years and has made a number of trips to the region to examine the evidence firsthand. His research has made extensive use of dives, sidescan sonar, underwater video cameras and underwater to confirm his belief that commonly known as the "Bimini Road" structure is in fact an artificial dike built to protect old port. The shape and construction methods are identical to Bimini at least three similar - and equally old - breakwater in the Mediterranean.

In this image, a background scan sonar reveals a complex pyramid which shows the degrees, stairs and doors of a pyramid style of a classic Maya. I have attached a scan of a satellite pyramid of Tikal for comparison. - This picture was taken at about 30.48 meters (100 feet) underwater.

During the last glacial period, all GBB was well above the sea level aerial surveys have identified more than 30 unusual structures, dark in shallow water on the GBB and GPS positions were taken on each high. All but one of these formations were then visited on the water with the North Andros to serve as a base of operations.
Thirty dark locations (training submarine) were visited on the Grand Bahamas Ban, some of which were about 50 miles off the GBB. A ship and remains of ruins were discovered on some of these sites and have been detailed previously. - In general, about 75% of all dark formations are associated with a variety of non-rated materials, and the most curious objects. For example, a perfectly round white spot in the middle of a dark formation showed what appeared to be a part of a huge metal anchor stuck from the bottom. This part can not be moved by hand. (see above). Is there also a real ship buried there? We do not know, but training around the anchor has more than 500 feet long.
Approximately 25% of training Bimini turned out to be made from stone blocks. Many of them seemed to be huge piles of blocks covered with sand and turtle grass. In some places, the blocks were widely dispersed in long straight lines. The stone blocks were too large to be the ballast of ships, but could be cargo. On the other hand, they could be the remains of buildings that were erected on the Grand Bahamas Ban when it was above sea level ..
Other Atlantean satellite or down? : Yonaguni Island in Japan: Many more people only know megaliths which is under the water off the island of Yonaguni, but on the surface there is much to discover. This small gallery reveals the practical work of an unknown civilization which, Dr. Robert Schoch speculates, dates from about 23,000 BC or at least to 19,000 BC. They were workers of megalithic stones with advanced skills:
